A family from Friuli. An intimate link with our region.
Love and care, stability and discretion.
Here we talk little and do a lot.
We create strong relationships, and we make wine in a precise manner.
We seek excellence, without ostentation.
We want to satisfy you and leave you… Speechless.
Maximum attention to detail and outstanding quality are the immediately recognisable elements in our selection of Friuli’s indigenous and international grapes, vinified with great care, from which we obtain the wines under the Collavini label: fine whites, reds, sparkling wines and other vinous specialities with a strong identity; an identity that does not follow fashions or consumer preferences, but remains elegantly true to itself.
Broy
Synonymous with elegance and our continuous attention to quality, it reveals in the glass the refinement, coherence and history that have always been our distinctive characteristics.
The Friulano and Chardonnay grapes dry partially in special rooms at a controlled temperature of 12°C, with almost zero humidity. The Sauvignon, on the other hand, is pressed separately after a brief maceration and then chilled to block its fermentation.
The Beginning of the Story
Rivignano, 1896, this is where the story of our founder Eugenio Collavini began: a man with a passion for viticulture who, around that time, entered into contact with the affluent families of Udine, which he supplied with his first wines. The business then passed into the hands of his son Giovanni, who succeeded in making it through the period marked by the two World Wars before he himself handed over the reins to Manlio.
It was in fact Manlio who introduced modern winemaking into our company, moving our headquarters to the famous hilly area of Corno di Rosazzo and becoming one of the precursors of vinifying Pinot Grigio as a white wine.
A Taste for Conviviality
Wine for Collavini is a family tradition, which finds its highest expression in dedication, love for the territory and the continuous search for quality.
Luigi and Giovanni, with Manlio’s precious advice, tell the passion of making wine on the Friuli hills, a story that has reached even distant markets that appreciate the quality, territory and internationality of the winery.
